客户真没有骗你,只是时间不对 Customer Didn’t Cheat You

大家都说阿连分享的文章都充满了正能量,都说阿连幸运,你不知道阿连在这过程中有多苦B才造就了今天的我。
All you regard my articles as filling with positive energy, and consider that I am so lucky. But you can’t understand how hard I try to become who I am now.
阿连自从踏上外贸之路,由成单之日翻单之时就知道维护好一个老客户比开发一个新客户要难很多很多。但是我却从来没有考虑过放弃我的外贸路。
Since I worked in foreign trade, I have got to know receiving orders and repeat orders is definitely harder than developing a new customer. But I never give up.
Long Long Ago(其实我还很年轻),阿连就有这么一位老客户。我了解到他上批货都已经卖得差不多了,准备翻单。所以阿连抓紧时间推荐一些我们的新款以及适合这位客户市场的款式。因为老客户嘛,所以对我们的产品质量自然很有信心,虽然我们不是行业领头羊,但阿连还是自豪的说我们在行业内是小有名气的。不过客户看了我提供的报价格后,告诉我,他们还有点点库存。当时还不是他们的销售旺季,说春交会过来再谈。我充满期待地等待着。
Long Long Ago (in fact, I am young), I knew that one of my regular customers almost sold all goods and got ready to repeat order. Hence, I took the time to recommend some of our new and suitable designs for his market. Such regular customer absolutely has confidence in the quality of our products thought we are not leading the industry. Proudly, we are minor celebrity. However, seeing my quotation, he said that he still had little inventory but because it was not in the peak season, he would come to me during Canton Fair. I waited with expectation.
广交会要到了,客户又说他这次不过来了,6月肯定来。阿连就一直保持着跟客户联系。围绕的2大重点就是他的货到底快卖完没?他什么时候来中国?(很单纯是不是,也没想着转下弯,每次都同一问题)。客户可能很久没碰上过阿连这种纯情小业务(要放现在阿连可不会这样做),每次答复都是确定了会马上告诉我们,他们也想过来工厂看看。最后,客户却跟我说,他们还有库存,最近产品的需求不大。
Canton Fair was coming but he wouldn’t come but would on June, so I kept contacting him. Two key points were: Was his goods almost sold out? When would he come to China? (Don’t you think I am pure because always focus on one question). He may seldom contact such pure salesman like me (I definitely won’t do that now), so he always told me that would inform me as long as everything confirmed as he’d like to visit our factory. Finally, I was told that there was no demand for products for having inventory.
阿连也是醉了~~当时也不会分析一下自己的问题所在,只知道急于求功肯定不会有好结果,不过阿连的优点就是脸皮够厚啊,客户拒绝我,我就去找领导,自己脑子不好使不让人请枪吗?阿连跟领导汇报,领导一下就说到了重点:“客户不是不需要,而是还没到时候,你现在再没有技术含量的纠缠只会让客户反感,既然客户对产品满意需要下单的时候就自然会联系你,你现在的重心放在其他客户身上吧。”
I am drunk ~ ~ why I didn’t analyze the problem of myself but kept seeking quick success and instant benefits resulting in bad consequence. But I was so thick-skinned that asked my superior when being rejected, couldn’t I? My boss pointed the key directly: “it doesn’t means the customer is not in need, but not in the appropriate period. He may get tired of your continuous question. As he will contact with you when in need, now you can focus on other customers”.
阿连另外一个优点就是听话啊,领导一说完我就安心的去跟进其他客户了。不过这期间有新款阿连也会借机发发新款给客户,增加一下存在感,别让他忘了我。
My other advantage is obedient. After the conversation, I followed up other customers at ease. But I still sent him new designs to remind him.
果然如领导所预料,客户的产品出得差不多的时候他忽然主动出现了,来找我报价,还要了一款样板,还跟我讨论了交货期。最后~~嘻嘻,肯定没逃过我的五指山。
As expected by my superior, the customer suddenly appeared for my quotation when going to sold out, in addition, asking for a sample and discussing the delivery date with me. Finally, aha~ ~ I caught him.
所以说有时候真得急也急不来,客户有时候不是不下单,而真的就是客户还没到下单的时候,终于明白为什么客户有时候不接电话和态度不好了,天天给人这样纠缠着,很难会有好心情吧。
So with that being said, don’t be urgent. Customers only will place orders in appropriate time. I understand the reason why they won’t answer our call and bad attitude sometimes. It must be hard to keep good mood if always to be entangled by others
