世界页岩气大会已经成功举办了2届，是世界上规模最大的页岩气专业会议，展会同期将举办页岩气装备展览，又世界天然气联盟（IGU）及美国气体协会（AGA）支持，同时由Chesapeake ,ExxonMobile, Bhpbillion, Honeywell, Statoil, PGNIG, TOTAL ,Bake Hughs, Shell，YPF， Halliburton的官方支持。参会人员来自世界各地，其中中国2011年就总共有45人参会，中石油，中石化，中化，华电集团等都派高层前往参加。同时发改委研究院领导及中石油的人员还做了主题发言。会议得到了所有参会人员的一致高度评价及肯定。
2012年此会将继续在美国休斯顿举办，欢迎中国页岩气领域内的企业积极参与。
