在网上看到一篇叫《刚被老外教训了》的帖子

该LZ连续发了四封相同的邮件给这个老外,后来被老外教训了一顿，主要是说:
1.他这种两个星期连发四封邮件的做法只会是让客人厌烦,达不到推广产品的效果Spam is counterproductive.  

2.英文名大部分外贸人事都是自己选个western style English name,但这个客人却说这样会让人觉得你not honest,因为他们知道你这个名字都是捏造出来的根本不是你的本名,so 人家根本不会和你做生意. Lots of Chinese people do this because they think it will help them when selling into Western marketplaces -- the truth is that it can often be a bad thing to do as it is a form of dishonesty.  People are more likely to buy from someone they trust and using a false name does not create trust.所以建议大家用一个自己中文名音译过来的英文名或者自己创造一个英文名，总之少用老外的名字you should be proud of your real name and use it -- or the closest approximation you can get to it when written in English.

3.公司需要一个正规的英文网站. 大家可以去看下自己公司或者其他公司的英文网站，里面的语法错误很常见，甚至好多单词都有拼写错误，还有一些词汇的错误用法比如在此lz公司的网站上有the phrase "Easy Going".  In some Western cultures, "Easy Going" means someone who doesn't care, someone who is lazy.
这些错误会出好多笑话的，在老外看来你公司的网站都做不好可想而知你们的产品质量也好不到哪儿去（Far too many Chinese companies trying to sell to Western markets have very poorly translated websites and this becomes a joke.  People laugh at the bad spelling and grammar, making it difficult to convince them that you have a quality product worth purchasing）
  所以公司英文网站翻译一定要准确到位，其实大家都知道要这样做但是真正做的确很少.所以付诸行动吧......大家的英语水平和外贸技巧要同步提高啦，这样才能让咱们的外贸路走的长远。
