瑞诺国际分享外贸人生的截然不同,就在一念之间

今天小编给各位带来的是一个真实的故事。故事不长,却十分具有现实讽刺的意味,各位看官可要细细品读哦!


有两个人,在学校期间成绩不相上下,一直是中上游,04年毕业后开始做外贸。


Two people are kind of equal in school performance and both at the middle-up level. They started doing foreign trading since their graduation in 2004.


其中A做无纺布,一做就是8年,这期间换过公司,但是一直做无纺布(因为那个小城市盛产无纺布)。刚参加工作的时候底薪1500+提成,不包吃住。而B在这8年期间换工作无数,也跨越了至少5个不同的行业,有LED、玩具、喷画、园艺和宠物用品。毕业之后一直在一线城市发展,底薪从2000发展到现在的3500。但现在两个人的差距越来越大。


A was in the business line of nonwoven fabrics for 8 years because the town is famous for nonwoven fabrics, though he had changed companies in between. At the beginning of joining work, the basic salary was 1,500 with commission excluding accommodation or meals. Meanwhile, B had changed jobs a lot during eight years from LED, toys, paints, garden decoration to pet products. He worked in the first-line city after graduation and the basic salary was from 2,000 to 3,500 at present. However, their distance was getting farther.


A现在已经成为公司的海外部经理,行业内具备一定影响力,年收入30万以上,猎头公司骚扰无数。现在已经购置了数套房产,老婆在家做全职太太照看孩子; 而B依然在频繁的换工作,跨行业,依然拿着3000多的底薪混迹在基层,因为没房没车,至今单身,每次聚餐都是一身牢骚。


A has been the manager in the oversea department of the company and has a certain influence in the industry. His annual revenue was more than 300,000 that hunters all prefer him a lot. Now, he has bought several houses and his wife was at home taking care of their child. However, B was still changing jobs frequently in different fields. He was still working in the basic level because of no house, no car and being single, and complaints every time at meal.


其实两个人的资质差不多,为什么两个人的差距这么大,而且有越来越大的趋势? 原因就在于,相对于其他行业经验,外贸经验其实是相对较容易积累的。一般只要外贸业务员用心学习,2年已经基本合格了。但是产品、行业经验是需要常年累月积累的。如果一个老板要委任你更高的责任,绝对不会只看你的销售经验。比如要成为外贸经理,你需要对自己的产品、行业的发展趋势、市场的特点等都有一定的预见性和大局观。这个时候,行业经验反而会成为职业生涯的“垫脚石”。


Virtually, they two are basically equal to each other and why such distance between them tends to be farther? The reason is that, compared with other fields, the experience in foreign trading is actually easier to accumulate. Generally, once foreign traders learn with heart, they are basically qualified within two years. However, acknowledge and experience of products and industry require months and years of accumulation. If a boss appoints you higher responsibility, it is definitely not because of your selling experience. For example, to be a foreign trading manager, you will need to have a certain prediction and comprehensive view of your products, the developing trend of the industry and the characters of the market and so on. At this time, the experience of the industry will turn to be the step stone in your career.
